A Real-Life Da Vinci Code Mystery Set In London
According to author Chris Street in his book Earthstars, The Visionary Landscape, London’s sacred sites are not scattered about the city at random. On the contrary, they form precise patterns of perfect pentagrams, hexagrams, circles and stars. By no stretch of the imagination is this a chance formation.
Every single individual pattern interconnects with the rest to form a vast and beautiful design covering the whole of greater London. Its main alignments link directly to other ancient sites the length and breadth of the land.
SACRED GEOMETRY AND THE TEMPLE BUILDERS’ ART
The basis of these patterns is not simple geometry. It is a recognisable temple ground plan and one of the most important constructions of sacred geometry. The very same design has been used in the construction of temples throughout the centuries. Indeed, the oldest example of its use in this country is in the construction of Stonehenge.
A MONUMENTAL DISCOVERY, LIKE FINDING ANOTHER STONEHENGE BENEATH OXFORD CIRCUS
No less than six of the Earthstars patterns are replicated precisely in the design of Stonehenge. The scale is different, obviously. But the proportions are perfect. London’s circles are precisely 792 times larger than Stonehenge’s and cover over 400 square miles. It is astonishing to think that the location of Westminster Abbey, St Paul’s Cathedral, The Tower of London and many more of London’s ancient or sacred sites are determined by a design first used over 3,500 years ago. It provides clear evidence that the temple builders’ art has been preserved within mainstream religions for thousands of years.
SACRED GEOMETRY - THE FORCES OF CREATION
The art of sacred geometry embodies a philosophy and world-view which was the basis of the Hermetic and Pythagorean Mystery Schools. The geometry therefore contains its own explanation and significance. From this understanding, the forces of creation work through specific geometric forms which underlie all physical form from the smallest atom to the spiral arms of galaxies. That is the theory, at least.
In the landscape can these things be understood in the same way?
Are we dealing here with the forces of creation, the life-force of the planet? Interestingly, that is how modern dowsers and experts on the mysteries of ley alignments understand those phenomena, which are clearly related to, and form part of, this discovery.
IS LONDON THE NEW JERUSALEM, THE CITY OF REVELATION?
The Earthstars geometry is of immense significance. As well as representing a temple groundplan, it incorporates a perfect harmonic relationship with the relative structure and dimensions of the Earth and Moon. Even more astonishing, the late great, John Michell, the world’s leading authority on sacred landscapes and ancient metrology, associates this geometric construction with the measures and proportions attributed to the biblical City of Revelation, the New Jerusalem, described by St. John in The book of Revelation. Could this be an unusual confirmation of William Blake's visions of Jerusalem within London's spiritual dimensions?
IS THE END NIGH?
Since the City of Revelation is said to appear at the end of the age, perhaps it is no coincidence that this discovery has come to light at the turning point of the millennium when our banking systems, economies, polar icecaps and many other things are in meltdown. Rather worryingly, it is more likely to be environmentalists who warn us that the end is nigh these days, rather than visionaries like St, John or William Blake. My personal thoughts on this relate back to the books of Sir George Trevelyan in the 1980s. His visionary work suggested that a new evolutionary impulse was about to affect the Earth and that its primary channel of influence would be through specific sacred sites, just like those that form the Earthstars geometry on the London landscape.
A GRAIL QUEST THAT BEGAN AT LONDON'S LOST CAMELOT
As if all this was not enough, the Earthstars' discovery has astonishing links to the Arthurian Legends. London has its own little-known Camelot which bore the name generations before Mallory's work brought it to public attention. Appropriately, that is one of the sites which triggered this quest. The author's insights into the Arthurian myths provide a remarkable new understanding of the Round Table, the Holy Grail and the concept of healing the waste-land.
A VOYAGE OF DISCOVERY THROUGH LONDON'S MYSTICAL DIMENSIONS
Remarkably, the Earthstars revelation came about through a series of dreams, visions and psychic experiences. If that sounds far-fetched, remember that the discovery has its roots in our ancient sacred sites, locations regarded by our ancestors as places of power, places of healing and places of vision. According to the author, some of London's ancient sites still are. This book provides a fascinating guide to them. Earthstars The Visionary Landscape is a visionary voyage of discovery through London's ancient mounds, stones, hilltops, earthworks, wells, churches, abbeys, cathedrals and their spiritual dimensions that lie hidden, and often unsuspected, beneath the capital's concrete jungle.
2012. THE GALACTIC CENTRE ALIGNS TO LONDON
The last century has seen dramatic and sensational change in the world. f this book is to be believed, the Earth's sacred sites are spiritual power stations set in a circuit diagram of sacred geometry through which a new evolutionary impulse is beginning to activate.
It brings a new perspective to the nature and purpose of the Earth's sacred sites, the forces which work through them and humanity's connections to them via our psycho-spiritual dimensions. Seemingly London has an important role to play in this and the focus of attention on the capital in 2012, the date of the Mayan end-times, as well as the next Olympics, may be the catalyst to something unforeseen event far more exciting than the Olympics.
It may therefore be no coincidence that astrologers have observed that what they call the Galactic Centre will be focussed on London for fifty years from the winter solstice of 2012.
Chris Street will be presenting an illustrated talk on Earthstars and the Visionary Landscape of London, at Swedenborg Hall on Friday November 6th. 6.30 for a 7pm start.
